Review by hotel critic
The Astro Motel is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Sonoma County, perfectly aligning with my passion for culture and the arts. The polished cement floors reflect a modern aesthetic that works well with its eclectic décor, and the vibrant courtyard filled with fruit trees was a charming surprise. We were able to bring our lovely dog Ella along, and the thoughtful pet amenities made our stay even more enjoyable, giving us plenty of amenities to set up a little home away from home. The friendly staff went above and beyond, creating an inviting atmosphere that felt less like a stay and more like a warm visit among friends. Its location is fantastic—just a stone's throw from the up-and-coming arts district and various local attractions, including the impressive Charles M. Schulz Museum. Breakfast featured local ingredients, and the connections to nearby wineries, hiking trails, and vibrant culinary experiences made our week in Sonoma an unforgettable one. If you’re seeking a lively place with soul, the Astro is undoubtedly worth a visit.
